What David Silva said to Kevin De Bruyne in heated exchange during Napoli Champions League clash

As they sit at both the top of the Premier League and Champions League while scoring goals for fun, things look pretty good for Manchester City right now.

But that didn't stop two of their star men going head-to-head at half-time of their Champions League clash with Napoli at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.

Despite City being 2-0 up at the time, skipper David Silva and Belgian ace Kevin De Bruyne were seen in a heated exchange as they left the pitch.

De Bruyne had been booked shortly before half-time, and wanted to vent his anger at the fourth official as he made his way towards the tunnel.

But Silva stepped in and played a captain's role, perhaps feeling as though - with side in total control thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus - there was no need for De Bruyne to risk a red card.

Both the Spaniard and teammate Fernandinho restrained De Bruyne, with the Belgian heard urging Silva to "let me talk!" - presumably to the referee - as he remained agitated, but Silva repeatedly calmed him down by telling him "it's okay" and urging him to be quiet.

Thankfully for City an irked De Bruyne listened to his skipper, and ended up heading down the tunnel.

City ended up winning the game 2-1, with Amadou Diawara pulling one back for Napoli from the penalty spot in the second half, succeeded where teammate Dries Mertens failed in the first half.
