Manchester City are reportedly preparing a cash-plus-player offer for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean returned to the Gunners line-up in time for the 4-0 thrashing at Liverpool on Sunday, but cut a dejected figure when he was subbed off after 62 minutes.

The Daily Star report that City are readying a bid of £70million plus Dutch defender Jason Denayer for the wantaway 28-year-old.

And the report claims that Arsene Wenger could be tempted to cash in on Sanchez following the Gunners’ Anfield nightmare as he looks to rebuild his side.

The cash could then be spent on landing long-standing target Thomas Lemar.
