  • The former Red Devil is set to make a comeback in football after a close to a year hiatus
  • Berbatov is poised to play in the Indian League with another ex-united player, Wes Brown.

Berbatov has been without a club for over a year after being released by Greek side PAOK in 2016 but has always maintained his desire to continue playing.

Having been keeping himself busy by playing in various charity matches, the opportunity to return playing has arisen with Blasters, where the 36-year old will not only reunited with Wes Brown, but will again link up with Rene Meulesteen, according to SportBible.

The Dutchman succeeded former Manchester City and Reading boss Steve Coppell as manager of the Indian outfit, and worked with Berbatov during his time as a coach at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, before Meulensteen managed the former Monaco and Spurs striker in a short stint in charge of Fulham in 2013.
