Everton want Leicester striker Jamie Vardy as a potential replacement for contract rebel Romelu Lukaku.

The £70milllion-rated Belgian hitman has refused to pen a new deal with the Toffees and is wanted by both Manchester United and former club Chelsea, according to the Sun

And the Express are reporting that Toffees boss Ronald Koeman could look to Vardy to try and fill the gap left by Lukaku.

The England international netted 13 times in a disappointing season that saw their Premier League title defence fall flat.

Vardy penned a new £100,000-a-week four-year deal with the Foxes after rejecting a move to Arsenal last summer.

But he could be persuaded to jump ship and look for a new challenge after the Foxes unexpected title win in 2016.

Lukaku's future at Everton looks likely to end this summer after he admitted he wanted to leave to play Champions League football.

The Toffees then slapped a whopping £100m price-tag on his head but that does not seem to have put off United or Chelsea.

United also know they could use their former striker Wayne Rooney as bait to get Lukaku to Old Trafford.
