Southampton to train Kenyan youths in Nairobi

Sports betting firm SportPesa in conjunction with English Premier League side Southampton FC will from tomorrow conduct high level football training for the youth in Nairobi.

The Southampton FC training camp for the emerging Kenya’s development side will be held  from April 24 to April 28 at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS).

The Saints Academy training delegation to Kenya is led by Daniel Maye, the Lead Youth Development Phase Coach accompanied by Daniel Wright (Youth Development Phase Coach), Simon James Locke (Academy Goalkeeping Coach) and Andrew Martino (Football Development Manager – Global).

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has already called up 30 players from its developmental sides from all over the country to take part in the camp.

The players are drawn from an array of schools and clubs including Kakamega High School, Passenga, Kisumu Day, Laiser Hill, Jamhuri High School, Butere Boys, Isiolo High, Riruta Satellite.

Some of the schools area force to reckon with based from their performance in the Kenya Secondary Sports Association games.
