Wanga says Hull trip will help in KPL title push

Tusker forward Allan Wanga says playing against Hull City last month exposed him to new playing techniques which he will use to help his side win the league title.

Wanga was part of the Sportspesa All Stars team who toured England last month for a historic fixture against the Premier League side.

“It was good exposure because we learnt new tactics that will be useful in our careers,” said the player who captained AllStars. Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Chief Executive Robert Muthomi said aspects like improved ball control within the pitch were noticeable during the match.

“During the AllStars against Hull City match the ball was hardly off the pitch even when with our own players, which is a pointer to great ball control which is not normally what we see here. This means we have quality players but it is the facilities that need improvement,” Muthomi said.

He adds: “Normally what we see during matches is that the ball gets out so many times meaning it bounces off on uneven pitch thus making the game less attractive.”
