Ulinzi Stars vice-chairman Joe Birgen says the arrangements for tomorrow’s CAF Confederations Cup return leg match with Egyptian side Smouha at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos, are complete.

The soldiers, who lost 4-0 to Smouha in the first leg last Friday, have switched the match from Nairobi to Machakos because of the unavailability of both the Nyayo and Kasarani stadium, which are currently closed down for construction.

“We have made all the necessary arrangements for the match to be played in Machakos and all is in place,” Major Birgen said on the club’s website.

The official further called on fans to turn up and support the team.

“We urge fans to come out in large numbers to support us because we need them. It will not be an easy match because they are a good team as well. But in football, everything is possible. If we minimise our mistakes, then I believe we can come out with a positive result,” said Birgen.

Ulinzi Coach Benjamin Nyangweso has, however, admitted that the team needs to put its best foot forward if it is to overturn the first-leg defeat.
