Mourinho rejects Ryan Giggs in management

Jose Mourinho does not want to keep Ryan Giggs as his assistant manager at Manchester United, according to The Times.

It is thought that Mourinho is worried about the former winger becoming a rival for the position as manager in years to come.

Reports suggest that Mourinho believes Giggs distanced himself from previous managers Louis van Gaal and David Moyes during tough times at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese is also allegedly wary of Giggs' relationship with Paul Scholes, who is close friends with the Welshman.

Mourinho is demanding loyalty from all of his United staff and his reported doubts could spell trouble for Giggs' reign.
