Why new bean variety is selling like hot cake

The Angaza bean variety can bear up to more than 20 pods per plant. The early maturing beans can be harvested within about 60 days and their rich content of iron and zinc has made it high on demand in many markets. [Stanley Ongwae, Standard].

Thomas Asumeri has never looked back since he harvested and sold a new type of beans that was undergoing trials in his farm.

The new bean varieties, Angaza, Nyota and Faida have been developed by the Centre for International Tropical Agriculture.
