Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has asked parents of students facilitated to study in various universities in Finland to pay the required school fees before the end of this month.

Bii distanced the county from blame, saying the programme was not a scholarship and that parents had an obligation to pay their children's fees. He revealed that the county only facilitated the programme by helping parents obtain bank statements to support the visa application process for the students.
