Eldama Ravine, Kenya: A 34-year-old man is being held at Eldama Ravine Police Station after he allegedly committed an unnatural act with a dairy cow on Sunday night.

The suspect, Mathew Wekesa Wamalwa, a single man who does casual jobs in farms in the area, is said to have entered Rotich Cheron’s homestead at wee hours of the night and committed the indecent act at the dairy shed.

Koibatek OCPD Bernard Kibe said the owner of the dairy cow was shocked to find the suspect’s pair of cloth and shoes when she went to milk the cow in the morning.

“Cheron’s wife went to milk her cow in the morning but she was shocked to find the suspects clothes and a pair of shoes. His cow also was unable to stand on its own,” said Kibe.

He said the cow was not able to stand on its own in the morning and before its owner could call for any investigation from veterinary officers, the suspect came to the homestead to claim his clothes. The suspect also had cow dung waste on his body parts that led to his arrest.

“The suspect is said to have left his clothes at the cow shed and in the morning, he came to the homestead to claim his clothes to the surprise of the owners,” Kibe added.

The suspect is believed to have been drunk.

The OCPD said police officers have commenced investigations as they wait for a report from veterinary officers before arraigning the suspect in court.
