Delph: Rollin’ in a sleek Voxy

The guy is a roller and a baller indeed. Delph loves good life. That’s why they call him the VJ King. Two months after we unveiled Delph’s hot crib, here he is again with his hot whip, a Toyota Voxy.

The Voxy is a twin version of Toyota Noah. It is an eight-seater MPV with two rear sliding doors.

"I used to own a Station Wagon but my family wanted a bigger car. A car that would accommodate the whole family during outings and one I could carry my equipment in," Delph says of his metallic black Voxy.

"As a DJ/VJ, I carry my sound equipment whenever I have a gig and that is one reason I preferred the Voxy. It is also fast and secure besides the luxury it comes with," he adds.

Delph says the Voxy compact minivan is the fourth Toyota vehicle to be fitted with NXT’s award-winning surface sound technology, which he says can pass as a celebrity ride.

"Voxy compact comes with Surface sound technology which enables the entire roof liner to be transformed into a loudspeaker. It also has an inbuilt DVD," he notes.

The Voxy’s roof liner speaker system fills the entire cabin with high quality sound, raising the overall soundstage to envelope driver and passengers in rich, clear audio.

"It is a car for young guys who want to rock the city. With my kind of celebrity connections, I need this kind of ride," says Delph.

The car has class-leading performance. Its 154 hp engine takes 9.8 seconds to reach 100 km/h (60 mph) up to a top speed of 175 km/h. It also has a smoother ride and better handling than the last generation Noah.

"It only takes me four to five hours to cruise from Mombasa to Nairobi. That means I can carry transactions in Nairobi and still run my errands in Mombasa on the same day," he says.
