City Stars striker Odari back to face KCB in KPL tie today

Hope Centre in Kawangware is the third venue to host SuperSports’ live broadcast when hosts Nairobi City Stars entertain KCB today.

The pay television channel has been airing live matches at the Coca Cola National Stadium and Kasarani. With the outside broadcasting van in country, Supersport is expected to air live matches from Bukhungu stadium in Western, Mombasa City Stadium, Afraha Stadium and Thika Municipal Stadium in future.

Hope Centre ground was given a clean safety bill after being suspended from hosting any matches following a near stampede during the season opening fixture against hosts Stars and AFC Leopards in February.

Meanwhile, Stars striker George Odari is back for today’s fixture after recovering from a thigh injury.

Tusker: The reigning regional champions have been boosted by the return of international midfielder Joseph Njuguna for their away fixture against Western Stima in Bukhungu Stadium today.

Njuguna has been out for two weeks with a broken finger. Coach James Nandwa will, however, be missing the services of international midfielder Fred Ojwang who is suspended.

"I have no injury worries in the team and after resting some key players last weekend, I have a very strong squad for the Western trip," said Nandwa.

Gor Mahia: Bouyed by a 3-1 win over league champions Mathare United, Gor Mahia can only improve on the feat after striker Habil Otieno and John Ringo passed fitness test for this weekend’s match against Sony Sugar.

The duo who were regulars in the team under coach James Siang’a will, however, have to battle for their positions after sensational teenagers Duncan Owiti and George Odhiambo proved they were natural goal poachers.

The duo has two goals apiece in two matches. Midfielder Ibrahim Kitawi is also back from injury.

Agro Chemical: Under pressure Agro Chemical travel to Mombasa to face Bandari. Agro who finished third last season will be lacking the services of their top scorer Edward Nandi who is nursing a thigh injury and Fred Okello who has a knee injury.
