The Opposition has announced it would proceed to court to contest disciplinary action against its members who whistled down President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) MPs also slammed National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi over alleged bias against Opposition legislators.

ODM National Chairman John Mbadi, MPs T.J Kajwang' (Ruaraka), Simba Arati (Dagoretti North), Junet Mohammed (Suna East), Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja), Florence Mutua (Busia), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay) and Moses Kajwang' (Homa Bay) yesterday said they would also demand proper interpretation of Standing Order 111, arguing that it is inconsistent with Article 47 of the Constitution on Fair Administration of Justice.

Speaking at a church service in Nairobi yesterday, the leaders wondered  why the ruling Jubilee MPs were quick to demand for disciplinary action against "whistle blowers" but were quiet when calls are made for the National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale and Deputy Senate Leader Kipchumba Murkomen to resign over their alleged involvement in the theft of Sh179 million at the National Youth Service.

Mr Mbadi dared the ruling Jubilee MPs to remove Ms Wanga from PSC, saying she did not serve at the behest of the ruling coalition but the Opposition, which nominated her.

He, however, asked MP Kajwang' to resign from the Speaker's Panel, saying the group had individuals with "retrogressive thinking".

The MPs declared formation of "Firimbi Movement", and vowed they would continue to whistle down any State officer engaging in graft.

Wandayi, who was kicked out of the National Assembly under Standing Order 111, said he does not regret his action, adding it would have been irresponsible of him to sit and listen to propaganda by the Government.
