Chuka-Igambang'ombe MP Muthomi Njuki has said Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru has become a liability in the Government.

Njuki said he is ready to append his signature to support the impeachment motion against the CS prepared by Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter. He added he would rally other Jubilee MPs to back the motion to send the CS home if the President does not act.

The Parliamentary Accounts Committee on Tuesday revealed massive inflation of prices for items purchased by the Devolution ministry, which has sparked a heated debate.

"The last time we defended Waiguru because we thought it was mere politics against her but now we cannot keep quiet. She should leave office immediately," Njuki said. He wondered who could buy a condom dispenser at Sh45, 000, terming the misappropriations as a clear indication of high-level of corruption that is hurting the country's economy.

Njuki said: "We are tired of defending people who are looting in the Government. Personally, I feel that as the Jubilee government, we are going nowhere."

He accused some Government officials of looting taxpayers' money while hiding under the presidency whenever need occurs to account for public funds.
