State to address albinos’ needs

The Government has promised to champion amendments to the law to cater for the needs of albinos. Planning Minister Wycliffe Oparanya said the Government would amend the Persons with Disabilities Act, enacted in 2003, to factor in the needs of albinos.

While responding to a petition from the Albinism Society of Kenya, through Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa, the minister said the Government is alive to the challenges faced by the albinos.
