Dream that turned into nightmare

When Magdaline Cholo’s  husband called and informed her that he had  boarded a bus in Nairobi destined for Mombasa on October 19, she thought she would see him in a matter of hours.

Well she did, but it took a bit  longer. She claims her husband was “stuck” at Mtito Andei  for a couple of hours after the crew of the Dreamline bus announced that the vehicle had suffered mechanical breakdown.

The driver had reportedly refused to continue the journey saying a mechanic was on the way to Mtito aboard a lorry.

After wasting one hour, he decided to continue the journey after the passengers found out that the delay was a ploy to make them wait for the evening bus from Nairobi!” claims Ms Cholo.

On calling their Mombasa office, Cholo says the the clerk on duty did not know anything about the “defective” bus.

“Do your customers deserve this after paying Sh1,200? My husband and the rest of the clients deserve an apology and refund of their fare since after arriving in Mombasa at 12pm they had to hire taxis due to lack of matatus.” Her email is   [email protected]
