AG’s office wins performance award

The Stat Law Office headed by Attorney General Amos Wako has been declared the best performing ministry in a government survey. The annual civil service performance rating ranks ministries, State Corporations and local authorities to enhance performance and delivery of service.

Attorney General Amos Wako received the award from President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga in a ceremony held at Kenyatta International Conference Centre.

Agriculture ministry now headed by Dr Sally after the removal of William Ruto to Higher Education emerged second followed by State House.

Nyayo Tea Zone Development Corporation emerged the best parastatal followed by the University of Nairobi and Kenya Literature Bureau. In the local authorities category, Kangundo Town council emerged top while Malava Town Council and Mombasa Municipal Council were second and third respectively.

Rift Valley Technical Institute was the best performing tertiary institution with Murang’a College of technology and Eldoret Polytechnic taking position two and three respectively.
