By Lawrence Aluru | Jul 10th 2014 | 1 min read

Siaya, Kenya: US President Barrack Obama's grandmother Sarah Obama plans to launch a charitable organisation to uplift the standard of living of the vulnerable people in Siaya County.

The organisation dubbed Mama Sarah Foundation, to be launched in September, will mainly support needy vulnerable children and widows. Currently, she runs a community-based organisation, which has seen some children go to school.

"Barrack's goodwill has drawn many people to support our programmes," she said Wednesday.
