Court summons DCIO for snubbed arrest warrants

The High Court in Kisumu has summoned the town's Divisional Criminal Investigative Officer (DCIO) Henry Ndombi to explain why two policemen suspected of murder are yet to be charged with the crime despite a warrant for their arrest having been issued.

Justice Esther Maina summoned Ndombi over the murder of a 16-year-old boy, Victor Onyango, who was allegedly shot by constables James Taruru and Bramuel Musungu five months ago at Obunga Estate.

The application for the summons was made by the Senior Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Douglas Ogoti.
