Police kill suspected kidnappers

Two suspects have been shot dead by police after a botched kidnap of a woman in Kisumu County.

Their two accomplices fled with bullet wounds. Detectives tracked down the suspects with the help of a mobile service provider.

It is said the suspects were dressed in Administration Police and Regular Police uniforms. Kisumu District Criminal Investigations Officer Henry Ndombi said one of the gang members is a suspect in the killing of businessman Shem Kwega.
