United States backs Kenya's regional peace efforts, Haiti mission

The United States has reaffirmed its support for Kenya's leadership in regional peace efforts and its role in leading the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission in Haiti.

U.S. Secretary of State Senator Marco Rubio praised Kenya's diplomatic leadership, describing it as a "regional anchor state" and commended its peacekeeping efforts across Africa, including in Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
