Two police officers arrested for robbing three men 1kg gold and Sh5.4 million

Directorate of Criminal Investigations sleuths have arrested two police officers after they were implicated in a robbery with violence incident.

According to a police report the two police constables drawn from Muthangari and Kilimani Police Stations while armed along Katani Road in Syokimau, robbed Tom Antony Vasath, Saravanakumar Raju and Selvaraj Felix Meshac of Sh5.4 million and a kilo of gold on February 22.

The reports say that they then bundled the three men into a police car on the pretence that they were being taken to a police station for booking but instead dumped them at the Kilimani Police station parking yard.

The three men reported the matter at the Mlolongo police station and it was booked under OB number 77/22/02/2023, investigations were launched leading to the arrest of the two officers.
