DCI boss Mohamed Amin transfers senior officers

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Mohammed Amin has transferred senior officers.

David Chebii, who was the head of DCI fichua unit has been promoted and named Tana River County DCI boss.

Michael Sang who was the Nyamira County DCI boss is the new head of DCI Serious Crime Unit. Robert Mureithi is the new Nairobi Central DCI boss replacing Jason Mworia who has been moved to DCI academy as the Chief Instructor.

Mike Muia, who was the DCI Head of Economic Crimes is the new Baringo County DCI boss, Samuel Bett who was the DCI Deputy Director of Operations has been moved to Kitui and named the County DCI boss. Starehe DCI boss Daniel Musangi has been moved to Ngong in the same capacity where he will replace David Korir who moves to Starehe.

Fatuma Hadi, the former Kilimani DCI boss has been moved to DCI Operations Unit. Kasarani DCI boss Vincent Kipkorir has been moved to the Regional DCI office in Nairobi Area.

Abdullahi Shurie, who was the DCI Head of Enforcement at the Nairobi County Government is the new head of DCI Economic Crimes Unit.

Buruburu DCI Boss Jackson Muriuki has been moved to the Nairobi area DCI office, he has been replaced by Daniel Kiplagat who was Kakamega Central DCI boss. Anthony Thiaka who was the Rift Valley regional DCI boss has been moved to DCI headquarters where he will be the Deputy Director of Forensics.

The changes follow others that were announced by Amin that saw the disbandment of the Anti-Counterfeit Unit and its officers transferred. The unit boss Nathan Njoroge was moved to Tabaka, Mandera where he will be the DCI boss. Others from the unit who were moved are Jacob Kathurima was moved to (DCI Turkana South), Samuel Muriithi (DCI Masaba North), Jacob Mong'are (DCI Tseikuru) and Tom Otieno (DCI Nandi East).
