Man paints donkey with Jubilee party colours and symbols to campaign for President Uhuru

A youthful staunch Jubilee supporter In Meru County is campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyatta in a unique way by painting a donkey in party colours.

Brian Murithi 24, on Saturday launched the campaign for re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta with his decorated donkey and his traversing in Imenti North constituency could not go unnoticed.

Murirthi a bachelor of commerce student with a major in human resources said he settled on campaigning for Uhuru because he realised the president’s manifesto could uplift the livelihood of a common citizen and the youths.

Amused onlookers at Nkubu matutu terminus in Meru town thronged the busy bus park after Murithi’s stop over with his donkey which was painted and branded in Jubilee colours and symbols.

Jubilee and NASA supporters clash

Jubilee supporters warmly commended him for driving the campaign for Uhuru re-election as NASA supporters shouted and started chanting their coalition slogans.

Before heading to the neighboring constituency of Central Imenti, Murithi urged people to re-elect the president if at all they want development.

“After l read the Jubilee manifesto, l came to realize that Uhuru is more focused to deliver to the youths and the less fortune in the community. In his manifesto the president has outlined how he will offer free education, this means even the children of the poor will still get quality education. He has also prioritized on health,” Murithi told the people at the matatu bus terminus.

Speaking separately to The Standard Murithi said he will crisscross both Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties using his donkey “Karembo” to campaign before the election period lapse.
