Tottenham Hotspur defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama took to twitter to thank Machakos fans after Harambee Stars stunned DRC Congo 2-1 in Sunday's international friendly match at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

23-year-old China-based striker Michael Olunga gave himself a perfect birthday gift after scoring a brace as coach Stanley Okumbi extended his unbeaten run to ten games.

Backed with home support from a handful of Machakos fans who turned up for the match, Wanyama thanked the fans for their support following the win.

“Super win by the Team and thank you Machakos fans for the good support. #Harambeestars," tweeted Harambee Stars captain Wanyama.
