A six-year-old girl was knocked down by a speeding matatu in Imenti North sub-county, killing her on the spot.

Mitchel Karimi, a Standard One pupil at Gikumene Primary School, was crossing the road going back to school from the Jerusha Mwiraria Hope Children's Home when the speeding Nairobi-bound matatu hit her.
