National Land Commission chairman Muhammad Swazuri

The High Court has ordered National Land Commission chairman Muhammad Swazuri to respond to a suit filed by a consortium of American investors challenging a decision not to sign land lease documents for a wind power project in Lamu County.

 Cordisons International (K) Ltd went to court, saying it had satisfied and received all the statutory approvals from State agencies including the county government, and accused the commission of frustrating the project.
