Beer out of reach for most wananchi

Majority of people watch football in clubs over a drink or two because it makes the matches more fun.

But the Government almost ruined these fun times by increasing beer prices during the Budget reading, perhaps aware that with the World Cup, Kenyans would drink more.

This will not stop us from watching the games. We will frequent our ‘locals’ and continue having a good time like always.

But for those who cannot afford the new prices, what and where does the Government expect them to drink if not illicit and adulterated brews in dingy dens?

Yes, that is what wananchi will now drink and as we all know, the results are not that pleasant.
