Unique mosque named after Jesus Christ, move was aimed at ending the land tussle

To the county of Kisumu now, where the Muslim community says it will retain the name ‘the mosque of Jesus Christ son of Mary’. The semi permanent structure built of iron sheets was put up several weeks ago after a protracted land ownership tussle was resolved. The Muslim community says it has big plans in the coming year to put up a mosque of its own kind in Kenya. The mosque which has a Christian name is not the first of its kind in the world.
