A section of Members of Parliament has criticized Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi over what they describe as unequal allocation of development funds in the 2026/27 national budget. Speaking after the budget presentation, Wajir North MP Saney Ibrahim Abdi accused the government of sidelining parts of Northern Kenya in the distribution of resources, warning that residents of the region would not support the Kenya Kwanza administration without seeing tangible development benefits.
