Former President Mwai Kibaki has called for better methods of tapping, storing and recycling rainwater for the dry seasons. He attributed poor management of harvested rains and huge plantations of water draining trees to the current adverse weather.

In a speech delivered on his behalf by Prof Nick Wanjohi during the Africa Green Building Summit held in Nairobi, Kibaki, who is also Africa’s special envoy for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation said there is need to adopt green building technology systems capable of recycling water for other uses.
