Police have arrested two more suspected cattle rustlers along the Kisumu-Nandi border. The two are among the 29 suspects in the police list.

This comes two weeks after clashes broke out between two communities at the border. Muhoroni OCPD Muthuri Mwongera yesterday confirmed the arrests, saying the number of suspects arrested now stands at 13.

One of the main suspects was shot dead last week during a shoot-out with police at Potopoto village, where he had gone to steal cattle in the company of three other accomplices.

"This means we have 15 more to pursue. Since we commenced the operations the area has remained calm," said Mwongera.
