Case challenging Waki report on 2007 post election violence to proceed

The High Court has ordered the hearing of an application challenging the Waki Commission Report on the 2007 post election violence to proceed without delay. Justice Isaac Lenaola is scheduled to preside over the case filed by a researcher, Moraa Gesicho.

 The case had been scheduled for hearing last Friday but could not proceed due to the emergency Judiciary's holiday following President Barrack Obama's visit. In her petition, Gesicho has claimed that the Waki commission did not make a full, faithful and impartial inquiry as required by the commissions of Inquiry Act.
