A woman has landed in trouble over claims she bit her husband's lover on the lips.
The accused, Caroline Mboya, who is facing assault and causing bodily harm charges said that she injured Mercy Nekesa on February 18 at Embakasi East in Nairobi.
On the material day, the complainant, who works as a house help in a city estate, was on her way to a shop when she met Mboya.
It is stated that Mboya then accosted the complainant and accused her of snatching her husband.
Amid the scuffle, it is reported the accused bit the complainant's lower lip and said she will face dire consequences.
The complainant was bleeding from the wound and sought treatment before reporting the matter to the police the next day where she was issued with a P3 form to be filled out by a doctor.
The accused denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh50,000 with a surety of a similar amount and an alternative cash bail of Sh30,000.
The hearing of the case starts on May 16.
