Queen Elizabeth has left behind a secret letter addressed to the Right and Honourable Lord Mayor of Sydney, Australia. The letter which was written 38 years ago is hidden in a vault in Queen Victoria Building. The letter's contents should be read after another 63 years. The queen penned down the letter in November 1986, its instruction reads,
"Greetings. On a suitable day to be selected by you in the year 2085 A.D. would you please open this envelope and convey to the citizens my message to them."
Nobod , even the staff knows the contents of the letter. LAD Bible reports ,
"Apparently not even the Queen's personal staff know what was written on the note apart from the strict instructions on the front declaring when it should be opened."
Queen Elizabeth's Visit to Australia
Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Sydney on February 3 in 1954 for a two-month visit. The Queen had a special place in her heart for Australia and visited the country 16 times. During her visits she was welcomed by cheering crowds in every part of the country. Some of her visits however were manned with controversy.
"These visits have also drawn protest and debate over Australia's constitutional position," Dr Cindy McCreery, an expert on the British monarchy in the University of Sydney's Department of History says. In 1999, Australia held a referendum on whether to remove the Queen as head of state, but it was defeated, reported CNN.
