How Kenyan nurses can apply for jobs in Saudi Arabia-ministry

The Ministry of Labour is calling on qualified health practitioners to apply for various jobs in Saudi Arabia.

The positions are in medical fields namely; Nursing and Medical, Surgical, Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Midwifery.

Interested candidates have been asked to send their applications through the National Employment Authority (NEA) online portal.

“Kenya is collaborating with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in enhancing safe, regular, and productive labour migration between the two countries. This initiative has facilitated employment of thousands of Kenyans in various economic sectors in Saudi Arabia which has expressed willingness to recruit additional health care workers from Kenya,” reads a statement from the ministry. 

Qualified applicants should be Kenyan citizens, holders of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing sciences or midwifery, and be registered and licensed members of the Nursing Council of Kenya.

Applicants should also have a valid police clearance certificate in addition to having a Kenyan passport.

Additionally, they should be good English speakers and writers as well as medically fit.

Those qualified to work in Saudi Arabia will sign a one-year contract which is renewable annually and will work for 48 hours per week with a monthly salary of 4700 SAR, an equivalent of Sh176, 855.

Other amenities including housing, insurance, transportation, medical, uniforms, and meals will be provided by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health (MoH).
