Vet Lab golfer Edwin Inana Asuza Mudanyi will be taking part in the Magical Kenya Open for the first time as a pro.

The 27-year-old took part in the championship as an amateur in 2018 and 2009.

Below, Standard Sports take a look at ten things you didn’t know about this youngest and budding player.

1.He is very eloquent

If you need a great, long and well articulated conversation, then Inana will not disappoint.

2. He is single

Inana doesn’t feel pressured with marriage. He says he will tie the knot once he is fully settled.

3. He’s very conservative

Unlike many young people who are hooked to social media and religiously follow trends in music and fashion, Inana doesn’t flow with the current fad.

4.He’s the younger brother to golfing ace Mudanyi

Because of their surname, people confuse him with his older brother Nelson who has featured for the national team for several years.

5.Started playing golf in Eldoret

After high school, Inana joined Eldoret Golf Club in 2009 to perfect his golfing skills. He relocated to Nairobi in 2013 to increase his chances of progressing in the sport.

Because of his brother Nelson’s influence, Inana linked up with Thika Sports Club before leaving the latter for Vet Lab.

6. Loves chapati and beef

Inana is madly in love with this cuisine. He says he can take chapati and beef stew everyday as long as it’s cooked deliciously. “Any day in any country you serve me that I’ll take it.”

7.Does golf for a living

Inana did not further his education after high school. He decided to embrace golf which is paying his bills. “I don’t regret ever making that decision,” he says.

8.Jaguar is his dream car

Although he does not own a car yet, Inana has wild plans when it comes to owning a four wheeler.

His grand plan is to buy a jaguar. “The vehicle is very comfy. I have had opportunity to test it from my friends in the golfing fraternity who own the machine.”

9. His brother is his role model

When it comes to inspiration, Inana does not look any further from their house. His elder brother Nelson Mudanyi is his role model. He claims to know his sibling in and out in terms of character.

“He is someone I’m proud of. He has mentored me not only in the golf course but as an elder brother and a friend.”

10. Missed cut by a shot

Inana first qualified for Magical Kenya Open in 2018. He was really on fire and the drive almost earned him the cut, but, was short by one stroke to proceed to day three of the event.
