Shabana are the 2023 National Super League champions.

Shabana edged out Kisumu All Stars 2-0 in a fully packed Gusii Stadium to emerge champions of the second-tier league.

Nehemiah Onchiri’s brace in the 53rd and 83rd minutes sent the Gusii Stadium into a frenzy.

The two goal’s was a relief to Shabana coach Sammy Okoth who before the match needed a win of any sort to be assured of the championship despite having qualified for the FKF Premier League three weeks ago.

Shabana will now end the season with 73 points.

Shabana FC Coach Sammy Okoth had hinted at the team clinching the title. "We have worked hard towards winning our matches. This was a must win game."

Police were mid morning forced to lob teargas cannisters to disperse a number of fans who wanted to force their way through to the stadium.

By kick off time; 1pm, the stadium was already packed with some of the fans forced to watch the game through the team's official page that had more than 5,000 people watching.
