Arsenal given Champions League boost as Bayern Munich undergo dressing room split

Bayern Munich’s stars are at war just a week before playing Arsenal, according to the Sun.

The Gunners travel to Alianz Arena for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday.

The German superstars are understood to be in conflict with their foreign team-mates — accusing them of not caring enough for the club.

Skipper Philipp Lahm blasted: “We know what must improve on the pitch and in the dressing room.

“We don’t know why part of the team does not see the problem.”

Asked about the bitter split, fellow German Mats Hummels said: “I know, of course, why we do not have the results we want.

“But I’ll not say it publicly.”

Striker Thomas Muller expects his side’s clash with the Gunners to prove to be an “explosive” encounter.

Arsenal were disappointed to be handed the German machines in the first knockout round after topping their Champions League group but will face a Bayern side struggling to hit the heights of recent years despite their four point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
