Sony Sugar head coach Leonard Odipo has left the club, just eight games into the season.

Odipo said he had been forced to take the move from the Awendo-based club after too much pressure from the fans, which made it impossible for him to do his work.

The former Tusker assistant coach said he had already handed in his resignation letter to the club chairman Paul Orato.

“I am doing this because it is what the fans want. There is no way I can continue working with the group who have made up their mind that I should leave,” he said.

He said he will be taking some time off from football management to reflect on his time at Sony before taking any other management job in the future.

The 2006 champions have had a torrid start to the season, currently lying in position 15 with a measly 3 points and are the only team yet to register a win in this season.

Odipo, who replaced Salim Babu in February, insists he was certain results would have improved with time.
