Chemelil Sugar are promising to add on to Gor Mahia's woes when they meet today.

Speaking to Feverpitch yesterday, Chemelil Sugar coach Francis Baraza said the millers were prepared to beat the Sportpesa Premier League (SPL) champions.

Gor go into the match after suffering two losses this season. They were beaten 1-0 by Bandari in the Super Cup tie on February 6 before falling 2-1 to CNaPs of Madagascar in a CAF Champions League tie last Saturday.

“Gor is a big team, with an admirable heritage and history. We respect them, but as Chemelil Sugar we don’t fear any opponents,” Baraza said.
Baraza said despite a few injuries picked after a string of build-up matches, his team was ready to make a good start as they will be the home team.

The match will be played at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
He said even though Chemelil does not boast of big names like Gor, they are still ready to fight to the last minute against the champions.

Baraza will rely on both experience and youthful exuberance as he tries to stop K’Ogalo.

Hillary Echesa will be supported by Victor Majid, David Ojwang’, Harambee Stars player Stephen Wakanya and new signing Erastus Mwaniki.

Echesa also echoed Baraza’s sentiments, saying the team was ready to add more misery on Gor.

“We are determined to win against Gor and expect nothing short of collecting the maximum three points. We will be buoyed by the fact that we will be playing at our home ground at Moi Stadium, Kisumu,” Echesa said.

Echesa said the miller’s playing unit has only one mission and that is to win their opening match in the SPL and will not be distracted by the huge Gor Mahia fans who have always followed their team.

Meanwhile, Muhoroni Youth FC coach James Omondi has admitted that his side did not give its best in their season opening match against Posta Rangers in which they fell 2-0 on Sunday, adds Supersport.com. Speaking after the match, Omondi lamented that the players did not have proper coordination despite meticulous planning ahead of the match, blaming the loss on a fragmented approach.
