Exfoliating the legs

By Yunia Kuria

The legs, just like any other part of the body, require tender loving care to look fabulous. Exfoliation keeps your legs healthy and smooth.

Here are tips to achieve this:

• Exfoliate to remove dead skin dirt and body secretions from the skin surface.

• Scrub the feet once or twice a week to protect the legs from acne, blemishes and ingrown hair.

Healthy and smooth

• If your legs have large pores, use a scrub that will clear out any build up of sebum that stays in follicles. If you feel pain while scrubbing, it means you are scrubbing too hard.

• Sugar makes a great scrub and is more gentle than salt and will do the same job leaving your skin looking healthy and young.

• Look out for sugar body polish to take care of your legs. Not only does it smell good but it will also leave your legs feeling great.

• If you want to deeply cleanse the pores and rid the legs of impurities, go for a deep steep grapefruit bergamot sugar scrub. This scrub is great for  moisturising the skin as well.

• Opt for a ginger and citrus scrub when you want to treat your skin with fresh-smelling extracts.

Exfoliant

• For a daily scrub, choose a scrub that combines exfoliation and cleanser properties.

• If you choose a salt based scrub, pick one that that contains exflotiant ingredients, hydrating glycerin plus algae for skin nourishment and for calming irritation.

• Exfoliation takes ten to 15 minutes.
