The Gala Rwanda was first event of its kind in Rwanda and designers from East and Central Africa came together to celebrate fashion. The weeklong event, the brainchild of Rwandan designer Daddy de Maximo, started with small shows from upcoming student designers. 
The models went through rigorous daily training sessions coupled with photo-shoot by French photographer Elorza-Gonzalez Alaine.
