From 'Kasongo' to 'Hit Em UP': Kenyans in love with golden oldies

Rhumba song by Super Mazember, Kasongo, composed in the 1970s, is now one of the most popular tracks in Kenya at the moment. It is being played on social media and entertainment joints on rotation.

The song is about a wife pleading with her husband to return to his family. Kenyans have however twisted it to an anthem for resistance against government excesses.
