Nairobi Diaries star and socialite Pendo is mourning the death of her mother Mariam Cheptoo Engoke, who passed on from complications from Covid-19 yesterday. Pendo, real name Stacy Vugutsa, spoke to Standard Entertainment while enroute to their family home in Vihiga, her mother’s final resting place.
"It's too much for me. It's too much to bear. She was unwell, then suffered complications and that was it," said Pendo.
The cortege left Lee Funeral Home this morning for Vihiga with the burial set to take place tomorrow.
"She was my best friend, my heart is shattered. It's a big loss. I will soon do a special tribute in honour of her life and times with us," Pendo said.
Mama Mariam was the beloved wife to Frank Engoke (formerly of KPLC), co - wife to Florence Engoke and sister-in-law to Narok County Governor Samuel Ole Tunai.
May her soul rest in peace.
