Beyonce embarrassed daughter Blue Ivy as she flexed her comedy chops as part of her mum Tina Lawson's latest charity drive. Musical legend Bey, 39, appeared alongside eight-year-old Blue as part of her mum's push to get celebs to tell corny jokes for the 2020 Wearable Art Gala. "Why does Snoop Dogg need an umbrella?" the star asked with a smile, "For drizzle."

Blue, who Beyonce shares with rapper hubby Jay-Z, 50, wasn't impressed, replying: "No, that voice!" Soon after, mum Tina got in touch to encourage her daughter to ditch the black hoodie she was rocking and wear something a bit more glam. "Hi Bey, I really appreciate you doing a joke because I know how busy you are," Tina laughed, "Can't you, will you just put on some makeup and get in some good light? I mean it's the gala, girl. Alright, call me back."

And Beyonce obliged, reappearing with her hair in luscious curls and a diamond necklace. Beyonce's sister Solange also made an appearance, dropping a few gags herself. "How do you throw a space party?" she joked, "Well, you just plan it."

And Beyonce's bandmates from her Destiny's Child days made an appearance. Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, along with her son Titan Jewell, five, pitched one-liners of their own. The stars gathered for the benefit of WACO Theatre Center, Tina telling that it "was created to stand at the intersection of Black culture and art."

Husband Richard added: "This year, our gathering will feel and look different, but the mission unequivocally remains the same. We are looking forward to continuing the tradition of celebrating art and Black culture to create meaningful change for our children."

Beyonce and Jay recently celebrated 12 years of married life, having tied the knot in a famously low-key ceremony in Jay's New York City apartment in 2008. The showbiz super couple welcomed Blue in 2012, and twins Rumi and Sir in 2017. Tina led tributes to the pair on their 12th anniversary, sharing a previously unseen wedding day snap.

Beyonce throws an arm into the air while rocking a classic, crisp white wedding dress, Jay looking dapper in his tux. "It seemed like yesterday these guys walked down the aisle," proud mum Tina wrote, "Such beautiful memories of that day, now it's twelve years later. Three gorgeous babies later and love still prevails."
