Paris Hilton breaks down in tears as she confides in family over traumatic childhood secret

The 39-year-old, who rose to stardom in reality series Simple Life in 2003, speaks about a devastating experience she kept secret from everyone around her - including sister Nicky. A new trailer for her YouTube documentary This Is Paris begins showing her strolling along with her chihuahua tucked under her arm before she is stopped and told to do it again.

"What do you mean, am I not on a runway?" Paris asks before turning away and a montage of clips flash up on screen, showing her surrounded by flashing cameras on various red carpets. I feel like the whole world thinks they know me," she is heard saying off-screen before it cuts to her apologising as she drives her car. She tells the camera person: "Sorry, I'm so used to playing a character it's hard for me to be normal." Paris adds off-screen: "No one knows who I am.
