Carol Radull's message as Kenyans rush to Asbel Kiprop’s corner

Sports media personality Carol Radull is among hundreds of Kenyans pleading with professional bodies such as Athletics Kenya to assist three-time World champion Asbel Kiprop.

This is after the 1,500 meters ace took to social media to vent his frustrations over his four-year suspension after testing positive to banned performance-enhancing substance, Erythropoietin (EPO).

According to Radull, Kiprop is all alone and needs help.

“We celebrated him when he put Kenya in a good light. And now he appears to be alone with no one to talk to. And no-one to advise him. Athletics Kenya, NOCK, Asbel Kiprop needs your professional assistance,” posted Radull on twitter.

Kiprop on Saturday 27 posted a widely shared message where he urged the National Police Service (NPS) to disarm him.

The 29-year-old also called on the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) to take back medals he won, saying they have no use being on his house’s wall.

“I pray to National Police Service to dismiss me now. Before I use their machinery to earn myself justice. Kindly, IAAF come take your medals. I don’t need any on my house wall…

The police constable was slapped with a four-year suspension in May 2018 by IAAF's Disciplinary Tribunal for doping.

A decision disputed by Kiprop who claimed that his samples were tampered with by unscrupulous officials.
