Michael Jackson is the world's richest dead celebrity

Michael Jackson has topped the list of the highest earning dead celebrities. This is the third time in the past five years that the top-earning celebrity in the world has come from the graveyard.

After being pushed into second place by Elizabeth Taylor last year, Jackson, who died in 2009, was back on top with estimated earnings of $160 million in the 12 months from October 2012 to 2013.
